It's PI day and I thought I'd make some kind of pie to celebrate. I'm more of a cake person, but cake day isn't until November so that will have to wait. I found this cute recipe from Disney Family, though I did modify it a little with the ingredients I had on hand. These are the perfect portion of pie for me and everything taste better when it's Mickey shaped!

Ingredients
Pie crust (I found a good delicious organic one at Krogers)
Pie Filling OR Canned Cranberries
Cake pop sticks
1 Egg
Granulated Sugar
Powdered Sugar
Directions

Preheat the oven at 425 degrees Fahrenheit.
Sprinkle flour on the surface and roll out both pie crust (after allowing it to thaw per the box instructions)
Use round cookie cutter OR the Mickey Silicon Mold from Shop Disney which is what I used.
Place a stick in the middle (higher up the better) of one of the Mickey heads, then place a 1tsp (or 2 depending on how much you want inside your pie) of the filling of your choice.
Place the other Mickey head on top and press the edges down around the sides with a fork.
Beat egg in a small bowl and lightly brush the top of the pies and sprinkle them with sugar (I also used brown sugar for a couple of ours)
Place on an unlined cookie sheet in the oven and bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
This was such a fun recipe to make and I can't wait to make it again!
