Survival Pack
Maybe you’re not about the big breakfasts. Instead go for the survival pack! My mom did this for my first day of college, but you could easily do this for students of all ages. Fill up a backpack the night before with a couple special goodies like colored notecards, fun pens or pencils, an extra pack of crayons, etc.
Thankfully, the dollar store exists so this doesn’t have to become expensive on top of the school supplies you already had to purchase. You can even theme the survival pack to your kid’s favorite things!

If you have kids in the upper grades, then consider packing a survival kit with these goodies:
o charging cord for their phone
o color notecards
o fun posits
o special pens or sharpies
o a Happy Planner

Now sometimes upper grade students will already have a planner, but it depends on what kind of student they are. If you’re wanting to help them stay organized this year, get them a Happy Planner! With all the fun designs and stickers, they’ll be more likely to want to use it.
