Disney Fairy Garden (PART 2)

How to create your own fairy garden (ON A BUDGET)

  1. Pick a location - if you don't have yard, never fear! You can get a flower pot and fill with real dirt or fake grass OR you can use a clear bowl or jar and create your garden.

  2. Pick your items- Once you find your location you'll have an idea of what you can fit there. There are multiple places you can find pieces for your garden ranging from semi-expensive to $1 Store finds.

    1. Hobby Lobby

    2. Michaels

    3. ShopDisney

    4. Ebay

    5. The Dollar Store

    6. Nature!

I used things I had laying in my closet and only bought a couple fairy doors for that added magic touch. I've also started looking around as I take my daily walks for items in nature that I can add to the garden. If you want a river rock path for your little garden head to the $1 Store where you can find little bags of them. You can also find fake flowers to add to the garden if you're lacking a green thumb or space.

I like checking ShopDisney for Disney figure set sales where I can add a whole collection to the garden. I've also seen where people add the little houses from the Animator's collection to their gardens.

3. Share the magic- if you live in neighborhood like mine you could strategically place fairy gardens where kids and families will see them when they're out. Last year during COVID lockdown there was a family in my neighborhood who would paint rocks and place them in different spots for people to find.

Let your imagination run wild! Fairy gardens are so fun and can even be used as fun school projects. They would be a great way to cultivate not just your garden but your child's imagination, or even your own! If you like taking care of your yard create a fairy garden for your kid(s) so they have something fun to do while you work outside, and this might even lead them to help you with the yard work as well- especially if you tell them it's important to keep a kept landscape to attract the fairies.

If you've done a fairy garden send us a picture! We might even share it here on the website or on our Instagram. You can tag us in your fairy gardens with the hashtag #mainstreetfairygardenss
