Disney Bound| Clara from The Nutcracker and the Four Realms

I wasn't sure about the new Disney movie The Nutcracker and the Four Realms. All of the trailers I'd seen defied anything I had ever seen of the Nutcracker and reminded more of Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland. I knew I'd want to see it but just wasn't sure if I'd like it. I did know I would go to the movie Disney Bounding though of course and I couldn't decide which of the characters I wanted to mimic, and I didn't have money to spend on a new outfit for this movie. So, I dove into my closet and found a couple pieces to put together.

Here is the outfit I chose as inspiration- Clara's soldier uniform. First off, I love how cute and Christmasy it looks. Second, I like how they seem to be making Clara not such a Damsel in distress but one who's going into the fray. (At this point I still hadn't seen the movie).

Here is my rendition of Clara's outfit above. I used pieces I already had in my closet. The jacket I got on clearance at Kohls and the dress is from Express but I found it at GABES. I didn't have to go buy anything for this one and I put it together pretty quickly.

For a fun addition I turned one of Annie's old Nutcracker earrings into a necklace with my handy jewelry kit.

Disney Bound Tip: Dig through your closet and use what you have! Use you imagination!

We didn't end up going to see the movie as planned but I still felt so Christmasy in this fun Disney Bound.
