Pandora, in Animal Kingdom, holds more than a few hidden gems other than Flight of Passage. I discovered one of them on my last trip and it fueled my love for the Na ‘vi people and culture. Right when you enter Pandora from Discovery Island bridge you’ll pass by a strange looking plant (which you may want to interact with for some fun) and then what’s the called Swotu Wayä, sits between the Na ‘vi river journey and the the entrance. You’ll see drums and other musical instruments for the Na ‘vi Drum Ceremony.
Throughout the day musicians will come out and perform the drum ceremony which, "celebrates the spirit of Pandora”. I’d never taken time to stay and watch but it’s truly captivating and the musicians poor their hearts into it which draws in the crowds. Pandora is full of details, and this ceremony, as well as the new Utility suit, which debuted earlier this year, make it a truly immersive experience. It goes beyond just part of a theme park, it’s an experience and it’s exciting. Make sure you take time to watch and immerse yourself in this ceremony as well as the rest of Na ‘vi culture throughout Pandora.
