Disney does everything with a touch of magic, but their fireworks are probably one of their crowning achievements. From Celebrate the Magic, Wishes, and now Happily Ever After, they just keep getting better. Now, if you’re like me you were probably very sad about Wishes and skeptical about HEA (Happily Ever After) but now, I can’t get the song out of my head!!
I’m in love with every part of HEA and I’ve seen it from various angles! If you're looking for a new perspective, here are some tips for watching the fireworks at the Magic Kingdom from various angles.
Main Street Station

First, there's the straight on approach. This was taken from the watching the fireworks at Main Street Station. It was a great spot at first, but even being some of the first ones to snag a spot up there people kept crowding and pushing and at one point, literally pushed us aside to so they could stand at the railing. That aside, you also have to worry about the flagpole. The pros about watching it from there is you get to see all the fireworks and the castle straight on, even if you are a little far to clearly see the projections.
Fantasyland

We stumbled upon this next spot completely by accident but it was so magical I almost started crying. Head to the backside of Cinderella’s castle in Fantasyland and you’ll hear the amazing soundtrack and see the fireworks spread out before you. Just make sure if you’re planning to watch them all from there, that you grab a spot at least 15-20 minutes before the fireworks start. You won’t be able to go through the castle cause they rope it off, but use the Liberty Square bridge make a right toward Fantasyland.
Another great place to watch the fireworks is in Frontierland, right off of Big Thunder Mountain. If you want a fun way, different way, to watch fireworks hitch a ride on the wildest ride in the wilderness and watch the sky erupt above you. The only thing about watching them this far back is you don’t get as much of the music, it’s still there, just not as clear as in Fantasyland. Annie and I really enjoyed the view by the geyser, and Mom watched them from in front of Liberty Tree Tavern. Either location, both offer a fun way to watch the fireworks without being in the suffocating crowds. It also utilizes your park time well by riding rides with short wait times and experiencing the fireworks.

A Trash Can with a View
The final view, and you might laugh, but it’s seriously one of our favorite places to watch fireworks when it’s so crowded and we don’t want to face Main street/hub crowd. There’s a trash can right outside of Casey’s Corner, closest to Crystal Palace, and there we stand against the trashcan because they never say you can’t block them. Now, this last time the crowds were so bad we didn’t get the best view, but when we did it with Wishes, it was perfect. I didn’t get a video of the view from HEA but I do have a picture of when we did it from wishes to give you an idea of the location and view.
I don’t advise you watch from any of these angles if you have never seen the fireworks show before, only because you really don’t want to miss the projections on the castle, they are truly amazing. But if you’re an Annual Passholder or just go to the parks a lot then definitely find a new angle, it’s fun to see the World from a different point of view.
